Thirty-eight years ago, a small group of parents incapable of accepting a future with diabetes founded JDRF. These parents made a promise to their children - a promise to raise money and invest it wisely in research to find a cure for diabetes. And to this day, their hopes and dreams are unwavering, as JDRF has awarded more than $1.16 billion to diabetes research.

There Is A Cure And We Will Find It Sign

For the first time ever, a cure for this chronic disease is not only possible, but likely. In the past few years we have witnessed extraordinary research accomplishments, marked by the stunning progress of islet cell transplantation, and moving research from the laboratory to the patient. We ask for your support and philanthropic leadership to ensure that vital resources are available to build on the latest technological and biomedical research developments.

At the A Night of Hope Gala, there will be a moment after the Live Auction when the room is stilled and the story of hope unfolds. Guests will be given the opportunity to donate directly to research, from the $100,000 level to the $250 level, and fund the science that will change the lives of our families, friends and the million Americans who live with diabetes each and every day.

You do not need to be present at the 2008 Gala to support Fund-A-Cure and the vital research JDRF funds. To make a donation, download our Fund-A-Cure pledge form or call (202) 465-4113. All Fund-A-Cure contributions are 100% tax-deductible.
